Bb Learn Affected By 5/29 Network Switch Upgrade

As announced in today's Sun-e, the Network, Server, Internet, & Wireless service interruption to allow the networking staff to perform a major upgrade on a network switch also means Blackboard (Bb) Learn is affected.  The networking staff will start at 5p on Thursday, May 29. It is estimated that the interruption will be for 1.5 hours, but it could be longer. Please plan accordingly to accordingly.

MAY 29: SCHEDULED DISRUPTION TO ALL NETWORK, SERVER, INTERNET AND WIRELESS SERVICES

Institutional Computing (IC) will conduct a major upgrade on the university’s primary network switch on Thursday, May 29, beginning at 5 p.m. The anticipated downtime is between 1.5 and two hours, but it could take longer.

For the duration of the upgrade, all network, server, Internet and wireless services will be disrupted. Please make preparations for this service disruption and know that every effort will be made to expedite this upgrade.
