Do you have issues scrolling with Firefox 24?

Typically, autoscrolling is enabled for Firefox 24, but some users have been experiencing this not to be the case.  What will happen if your autoscrolling is disabled is that you will not be given the opportunity to use a scroll bar on the side of your window, instead you will be forced to scroll using your touch pad. This is causing minor headaches for users trying to scroll within websites.  To save you from a mildly-infuriating time, follow these directions to enable autoscrolling:

  • From your browser locate the Firefox tab
    • Click Preferences
      •  Go to the Advanced tab
          • Edit your scrolling preferences
            • Select the General subtab: Here you will see the option to select Auto Scrolling.  Enable that, and you should be good to go.  Below is a screenshot of the screen as it should appear on your mac.
Make sure to enable Auto Scrolling
